Revealed in Malaysia just today, the Samsung Gear S smartwatch is the first Samsung smartwatch that has stand-alone 3G connectivity. Retailing at RM1099 the smartwatch is due in November 2014. A little time with the smartwatch reveals tech specs that include both Bluetooth and WiFi support. It is also IP67 water and dust resistance certified so you can go swimming with it. Other tech specs and features include a 1.0GHZ dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, 2-inch curved Super AMOLED display with 360 x 480 pixel resolution, 300 mAh battery and Tizen operating system. Unfortunately no camera but it does have a heart rate monitor and supports S Health, S Voice and provides notifications for messages, emails and other apps. According to the product demo, you will need a compatible Samsung smartphone like the Galaxy Note 4 to activate the Gear S but afterwards, the smartwatch is completely standalone. Launching in Malaysia today, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the latest S pen stylus based phablet in Samsung's pioneering phablet range. Thanks to Samsung Malaysia we managed to get some time with the Galaxy Note 4 which you can see in the images below. New features include a premium metal frame, a simplified multi window, photo note and much more. As the phablet in the ASUS ZenFone smartphone range, the ASUS ZenFone 6 sports a larger 6-inch display to go with the usual great looks of the ASUS ZenFone smartphones. Other notable tech specs that set it apart include a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, a 2GHz Intel Atom processor and a 6-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution covered by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. We managed to get some hands-on time with it and put it through it's paces. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and packing in 4G LTE connectivity, the ASUS ZenFone 5 LTE or A500KL continues the ZenFone smartphone range promise of affordably priced yet attractive smartphones. While this is the first ZenFone we've seen to sport a shiny metallic purple back cover it certainly looks as good as the other ZenFone smartphones. The ASUS ZenFone 5 LTE is expected to cost around RM709 with the following tech specs. However, for those looking for a faster connection, ASUS Malaysia have come out with the ASUS ZenFone 5 LTE or A500KL. Featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that supports 4G LTE connectivity, the ZenFone 5 LTE offers nearly all the same tech specs and features as the 3G ZenFone 5 while maintening the same look and feel as the original.
