Just announced yesterday, the ASUS Fonepad 8 FE380CG and MeMo Pad 8 ME581CL tablets offer 64-bit processing power and some really nifty features at affordable pricing. Going for just RM1099 for the MeMo Pad 8 ME581CL and RM649 for the Fonepad 8 FE380CG, we managed to some hands-on time with the two tablets so do check them out in the photos below. There is also a product demo of the two tablets by Paul Tsai, Tablet Country Product Manager, SYSTEM Group, ASUS Malaysia as well.

Revealed in a "one more thing" style yesterday, the ASUS Padfone S smartphone can slot into a 9-inch display tablet dock so you can get the best of both worlds with either a 5-inch display smartphone or a 9-inch display tablet. Both offer full HD 1080p pixel resolutions and the Padfone S definitely looks very premium with a brushed metal frame and rounded backside. According to ASUS Malaysia, the Padfone S has been drop tested from 150cm, which is about chest height and has IPX2 water resistance. In addition to these features, it also has tech specs which are top of the line but is only priced at just RM899 for the smartphone. The dock will be sold separately for RM499 and the Malaysia release date for the Padfone S is expected to be around 15 October 2014. We managed to get some hands-on time with the "Super Smartphone" from ASUS which you can see below:

While we've already had a brief hands-on and product demo video of the Nokia Lumia 930, we thought that we'd take a closer look at it with a hands-on video of our own. If you've been wondering how it feels and looks like in our hands then do check it out below. As it is, we found it to be a lot more compact than some other PureView camera packing Lumia smartphones while still managing to include a powerful 20.7MP PureView rear camera. The larger 5-inch full HD display is very nice to look at and does well with all the teeny tiny text on the Windows Phone 8.1 Live tiles. The Nokia Lumia 930 is currently one of the top Lumia smartphones available and we managed to get some time with it. This allowed us to do a short unboxing video where you can see what comes along with the Lumia 930. This includes a microUSB cable, a user manual and a charger. Unfortunately, it looks like we won't be getting any free Qi wireless charger as mentioned by other reviewers around the world but this could be why the Lumia 930 only retails at RM1999. Notable tech specs and features for the Lumia 930 include a metal frame and a 20.7MP PureView camera that doesn't jut out. Check out the unboxing video for yourself in this article.

The ASUS ZenFone range of smartphones are really making a big impact with their mix of well balanced design, great tech specs and features at very affordable pricing. The ASUS ZenFone 5 (A501CG) is the entry-level to midrange version of the smartphone and in our view is probably one of the most versatile smartphones in the Malaysian market. Just like the Lumia 830, Microsoft Devices Malaysia are also launching the company's Selfie smartphone with the Lumia 735. Featuring a 5MP front camera (true, there are many others with higher tech specs, however, it is the first Lumia to have a front camera with that high a resolution) the Lumia 735 is aimed squarely at the midrange market with the smartphone priced at RM999. The rounded sides and back fit well in the palm but thankfully this time around the back cover can be removed. Like the Lumia 830, the Lumia 735 also supports Qi wireless charging. We did manage to get our hands-on with the Lumia 735 which you can see below, complete with tech specs and demo video:

Nokia Malaysia just launched the Nokia Lumia 830 for Malaysia at RM1399 and we managed to get some hands-on time with the smartphone. Overall, the Lumia 830 bears the same metal frame design as the Lumia 930 with a colourful polycarbonate backside but it does look somewhat slimmer compared to the Lumia 930. The 10MP PureView camera sensor does protrude a little but it isn't as bad as other PureView cameraphones. Overall, the Lumia 830 feels solid enough to drop without worrying too much, a lot like many other polycarbonate backed Lumias as well and the back easily pops off if you'd like to change the cover. It is also one of the few midrange smartphones we've seen to offer Qi wireless charging. Check out the Nokia Lumia 830 tech specs and demo video below:

The newly released Sony Xperia Z3 Compact offers a number of great tech specs and features in a small package that can easily fit into your pocket. While these features include the 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM and 20.7MP rear camera with IP67 water proofing, it turns out that the 2600 mAh battery is also worthy of praise. This is because recent battery life benchmarks place the Xperia Z3 Compact around the top in terms of battery life on single charge. At 10 hours or so of continuous heavy usage, the Xperia Z3 Compact can easily last 2 days without having to charge on normal usage. Checking out the competition, it easily beats the much larger Apple iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S5 and even it's bigger brother the Sony Xperia Z3. The Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have already arrived in the US and other select markets. While there are no Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet, many are expecting the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to reach us in November 2014, so we still have time to decide which Apple iPhone to get. Following the iPhone lineup in the US, we estimate that for Malaysia there will be the Apple iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.
