Honor officially listed their flagship Honor V10 smartphone on VMALL with the Kirin 970 processor, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, a 5.99-inch FHD+ or 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution LCD display, front fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm audio jack. The slim metal bodied smartphone isn't water resistant and the 16MP RGB + 20MP BW dual rear cameras don't have OIS or Leica algorithms but the V10 is priced at a very affordable 2700 CNY (~RM1679) for the 4GB/64GB version while the 6GB/64GB version is priced at 2999 CNY (~RM1864). The 6GB/128GB version goes for 3500 CNY (~RM2176).

Generally, if you bought an Apple iPhone X in Malaysia, your friends and family would automatically think you're crazy to spend that much on a smartphone. Today, we got a tip that a new ASUS smartphone is coming to Malaysia at the end of December or early January. You bet. Huawei Malaysia has just announced that its low-mid range phone, the Huawei Y7 Prime will be absolutely free if customers sign up for the Digi Postpaid 78 plan. That's quite a bargain, considering the fact that phone cost RM999 so in a way, you can save up to RM1k by just subscribing.

Just a day before its impending announcement and the Honor V10 has appeared at TENAA via WinFuture, this time with a front fingerprint sensor home button much like the Huawei P10 and Mate 10. We don't think that it is an actual physical push button though and will offer the same navigation functions as the Huawei devices.

Celcom Axiata Berhad's Q3 report announcement revealed strong overall growth with a 25% increase in data revenue year-on-year thanks to an increase in data consumption and higher smartphone penetration for a total revenue of RM1.655 billion. Normalised EBITDA totalled RM688 million, which is a 9.4% increase Quarter-over-Quarter partly due to cost optimization initiatives such as Celcom's EasyPhone smartphone instalment plan for prepaid and OleOle e-gifting along with collaborations with Grab and more. While we patiently wait for the honor 7X to hit the stores on 12 December 2017, we are getting some rumours that the honor V10 which will appear in China first, is going to be accompanied by an honor 9 Youth Edition on 28 November 2017. According to sources, the Youth Edition looks exactly the same as the honor 9 but with lower tech-specs.
