Don't fancy a smartwatch or smart band or even smart glasses? Well, why not have some smart, wireless and in-ear headphones instead? This is exactly the premise of The Dash by BRAGI LLC, which are a pair of water-proof in-ear headphones packed with a 4GB built-in music player and sensors that can track your heartbeat, steps and gestures. The headphones fit perfectly (for most ears) into your ear and have a glowing LED circle on the outside, giving it a very stylish and Tron-like feel.

Well, it turns out the earlier rumours we reported on are true as LG themselves have confirmed that they are working on an LG G2 mini smartphone. This comes from a teaser image of the smaller version next to the LG G2 on LG's own Facebook page. The teaser doesn't confirm any Malaysia release dates but we expect it to come at the MWC Expo 2014 at the end of this month. So far, tech specs and features have yet to be confirmed but rumours indicate that the LG G2 mini could have a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM and a 4.7-inch screen. This would make it just a smaller version of the LG G2, and something we'd definitely look forward to more than the standard cut-down mini most other smartphone makers tend to come out with. No news on pricing, but we're hoping it doesn't go too high.

Making good on their word of focusing more on the mid-range and lower-end smartphone market, HTC looks to be coming out with more mid-range devices as the HTC Desire 8 was recently leaked. The 5.5-inch phablet looks to offer a number of tech specs and features which include a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The leaked image shows a nearly buttonless design with mostly on-screen controls. It could also use HTC's BoomSound dual speakers with a possible announce or launch date being 18 March 2014 (based on the date on the screen). Other clues include dual-SIM support. Check out the pic for yourself and see if there are other clues but do stay tuned as we'll keep you updated to any more news.

There are quite a few smartphones and mobile devices out there that don't have any microSD support. The most well known would probably be the HTC One, but now such devices have another alternative as the SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive offers a dual USB and micro USB flash memory drive that switches easily between smartphones, tablets and PCs with ease. While you can also use a USB OTG cable for a standard USB flash memory drive, this isn't very portable or easy to carry about (as people often lose the OTG cable, more often than not). The smaller SanDisk Ultra dual USB drive simplifies things greatly and offers 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage options as well. An additional MemoryZone mobile app makes the file transfer or backups a lot easier. Prices for the SanDisk Ultra dual USB drive are around RM55 or so making it a worthy investment for those of you looking for a bit more storage space for your smartphone or mobile device. Check out the video below or the SanDisk site for yourself.

While there are even quad-SIM smartphones out on the market, few better-known brand names offer anything past dual-SIM. However, Samsung have recently come out with a triple-SIM smartphone called the Samsung Galaxy Star Trios. Going for the low-end to entry-level smartphone market, the Galaxy Star Trios has very similar in terms of tech specs with the Samsung Galaxy Star S5280 with features that include a 1GHz Snapdragon S1 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB storage, 3.14-inch display with 240 x 320 pixel resolution, 2MP rear camera, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and HSDPA support along with a 1300 mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy Star Trios should be available in Malaysia soon but is currently being sold in Brazil for $165 (RM549) which is quite high for these tech specs. However, if you are the type who absolutely needs three SIM cards, this shouldn't be an issue.

Everyone seems to be jumping on the smartwatch bandwagon and Huawei is no exception. Rumours have cropped up that Huawei could be coming to the Mobile World Congress or MWC expo 2014 with it's first smartwatch. Other products coming along with the smartwatch also include several tablets along with a smartphone. So far, the only definite device seems to be one of the tablets which could be the Huawei MediaPad X1, which is a 7-inch tablet with 1080p display. All the other devices don't seem to have any other tech specs to give them away, but we're hoping that Huawei being Huawei will result in a more affordable yet innovative smartwatch offering. Since this is just a rumour still, there are no details on pricing or Malaysia release dates just yet. As always, take this rumour with a pinch of salt as we wait for 24 February 2014 when the MWC will officially begin.
