While we didn't get an Apple iWatch announcement yesterday, it doesn't mean that some people aren't still hopeful. For those of you looking at possibilities (Apple iWatch design team, hint, hint) Thomas Bogner came up with an awesome concept render design which looks like it would work great. The design looks a lot like the Nike Fuelband although we wonder if it is a bracelet like the Fuelband or the bottom part opens up like a latch. Quite a number of Apple iWatch smartwatch concepts have been cooked up already but with the iWatch supposedly set for a late 2014 release we're feeling a bit skeptical. As usual, since this is not an official Apple render or press image do take this with a pinch of salt. We admit it would be great if it did come true, but for now, check out the other iWatch concepts in this article.

The 2nd generation Apple iPad Mini also was recently announced but unlike the iPad Air, only gets the standard Apple name of Apple iPad Mini with Retina Display. Yep, finally, Apple has refreshed the iPad Mini with a Retina Display, fulfilling the demands of Apple iPad Mini tablet users around the world. But guess what, they've also added in a little surprise in the form of a brand new 64-bit Apple A7 processor with the M7 motion coprocessor. Again, no Touch ID fingerprint scanner under the Home button. Rather than talk about the thinner and lighter iPad Mini, Apple have instead chosen to talk about the obvious specs of the Retina Display. This is perhaps because the new iPad Mini with Retina Display is actually thicker at 7.5mm (the previous version was 7.2mm) and heavier at 331g (the previous version was 308g). This isn't so obvious when held in the hand, but if you line the two versions up together and look closely, you'll see the difference. Tech specs and features for the Apple iPad Mini with Retina Display include:
- 64-bit A7 chip with M7 motion coprocessor
- 16GB / 32GB / 64GB / 128GB storage
- 7.9-inch Retina Display (2048 x 1536 pixels, 326 ppi pixel density, LED-backlit, IPS, Multi-touch, Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating)
- 5MP rear camera (autofocus, face detection, backside illumination, f/2.4 aperture) + 1.2MP FaceTime front camera
- Supports WiFi + Bluetooth + (4G LTE + GPS (Cellular version))
- Supports dual microphones + dual antennas
- 134.7 x 200 x 7.5mm | 331g / 341g (Celluar version)
- 10 hour battery
- Apple iOS 7

Apple recently announced the latest version of their Apple iPad tablet. Not very keen on numbering this 5th generation tablet either, Apple have called it the iPad Air mainly because it is much thinner an lighter than previous versions. While it has the same 9.7-inch Retina Display, the iPad Air has slimmer bezels and a thinner overall look, confirming earlier rumours and leaks that it would look more like the iPad Mini. While it doesn't have any Touch ID fingerprint scanner it does pack in the new 64-bit Apple A7 processor and chipset with M7 coprocessor making it as powerful as the Apple iPhone 5S. Other tech specs and features for the Apple iPad Air include the following:
- 64-bit A7 chip with M7 motion coprocessor
- 16GB / 32GB / 64GB / 128GB storage
- 9.7-inch Retina Display (2048 x 1536 pixels, 264 ppi pixel density, LED-backlit, IPS, Multi-touch, Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating)
- 5MP rear camera (autofocus, face detection, backside illumination, f/2.4 aperture) + 1.2MP FaceTime front camera
- Supports WiFi + Bluetooth + (4G LTE + GPS (Cellular version))
- Supports dual microphones + dual antennas
- 169.5 x 240 x 7.5mm | 469g / 478g (Celluar version)

Despite being leaked and unofficially announced a day early, the Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet finally gets officially announced at the recent Nokia World event this time with a surprise little brother in the form of the Nokia Lumia 1320. Breaking ground into phablet territory, the Lumia 1520 offers a 6-inch full HD display while the Nokia Lumia 1320 offers a 6-inch 720p display. Obviously the Lumia 1520 is the more premium device and it offers premium features like built-in Qi wireless charging along with image refocusing through oversampling just like the Lumia 1020. Right before a big official announcement, it is very common for the device being announced to get all manner of rumours or leaks, often revealing everything or missing the mark entirely. Well, after the recent Nokia Lumia 1520 tech spec and price leak, this time around we're seeing some new image leaks of the phablet along with some accessories that could be coming with it. These accessories include the Nokia Treasure Tag, which is a small keychain-like device that rings when you set it to on the Lumia 1520 app, helping you find your keys (if only they had one small enough for glasses). The Treasure Tag works through Bluetooth and looks to be in a matching Lumia yellow, but there are probably other colours as well.
A number of protective covers for the Lumia 1520 also made an appearance in black, red and white. While it isn't exactly related to the Lumia 1520, there is also a music player going by the name of Nokia Guru, this time in cyan. The device itself looks very small, about the size of most teeny tiny MP3 players and looks to attach to a computer via microUSB. It also has a volume rocker and matching coloured in-ear headphones. Again, we think the Nokia Guru will probably come in all the other Lumia colours as well, but we'll find out for sure soon as the Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi is set to happen in the next couple of hours. No pricing details or Malaysia release dates yet but we're expecting the Nokia Lumia 1520, Nokia Treasure Tag and Nokia Guru to come our way in November 2013.
