After months of rumours, Samsung have officially announced their rugged, water-proof Samsung Galaxy S4 Active smartphone. While we're wondering what they are going to reveal at the Samsung Premiere event on 20 June 2013, it does confirm quite a lot of rumours that have spread about the Galaxy S4 Active. For now the tech specs of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active include:

It's been a while since we said that the Microsoft Surface Pro would be coming to Malaysia, and now it has done just that. Unlike the previous Surface RT, the Microsoft Surface Pro uses a full (not crippled) Windows 8 Pro operating system. The base model for the surface pro starts from RM2749 for the 64GB version and RM3049 for the 128GB version. Thankfully, pricing remains quite close to the US pricing, with not as much change as certain other products. As a plus, it is about RM200 lower here than the price of the Microsoft Surface Pro in Singapore.

Taking another plunge into the now nearly saturated tablet market, Toshiba are trying their luck with a trio of Excite tablets. Going under the names of the Excite Pure, Excite Pro and Excite Write, all three models share the same overall plastic feel, the same 10-inch design, ports and Android 4.2 operating system. Maxis has recently begun selling the LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy S4 or I9505 from as low as RM1399. The smartphone is available with Maxis TalkMore and SurfMore packages and for 12 month or 24 month contracts. As stated earlier the RRP for the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 is RM2499 because it is the 32GB version. Taking a page from the Transformer AIO the new ASUS Transformer Book Trio does more or less the same thing in a more portable package. Taking the form of an ASUS notebook computer like the Transformer Book, the screen is detachable and functions as an Android tablet when detached. What sets it apart is the fact that the keyboard dock can be attached to another display unit, allowing it to function as a desktop, which means you get 2 systems for the price of one.

Entering the phablet range for ASUS is the new Asus FonePad Note FHD 6. This 6-inch touchscreen packs in a number of features including a built-in stylus. While it looks to be in direct competition with the Samsung Galaxy Note phablet series, ASUS seem to not want to (at least in name), and have instead categorized the FonePad Note as a tablet. Tech specs for the FonePad Note FHD 6 include:
