After the recent arrival of both the Huawei nova 3 and nova 3i, Huawei Malaysia will also start off their nationwide tour with the Huawei Nova Superstar Truck starting from 10 August 2018 till 30 September 2018. Going to points of interest across Peninsular Malaysia, the roadshow will invite the public to “Capture the Beauty of Malaysia” with the nova 3 and nova 3i via fun-filled activities. These include experiential zones including a Selfie Corner, Karaoke Challenge and Arcade Claw Machine with Era FM radio announcers hosting the roadshows from 4pm to 6pm every Saturday.

Anyone who has been driving through Malaysian tolls have seen the RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) lanes, and Touch ‘n Go Malaysia have just announced that it will be rolled out starting from September 2018. This initial pilot phase may be available to the public but only to those interested in doing so, with the actual target for when RFID is due for implementation targeted at January 2019.

As OPPO gears up to reveal their OPPO F9 series here in Malaysia (expected to be next week), OPPO have released a teaser video for the OPPO F9 Pro. Honor’s most anticipated gaming smartphone, the Honor Play has been officially launched in Malaysia starting from RM1249 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage model of the device. The device comes in two different colour schemes including Ultra Violet and Navy Blue and it is running on Android Oreo with EMUI 8.2.0 on top. With not that much beating around the bush, Android 9 P has just gone official as Android 9 Pie. The update should be rolling out to Pixel phones from today while brands who have participated in the Beta program like Sony Mobile, Xiaomi, HMD Global, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus and Essential along with Android One devices will get the update by the end of fall (September?). Other brands like Huawei and ASUS have rather pointedly not been mentioned but we expect these companies to come out with Android 9 Pie updates a month or so after September 9 (or at least within this year).

OPPO will be unveiling the OPPO F9 on 16 August 2018 and it will be the first device in the F-series to feature a dual camera setup in the rear, allowing it to take stunning portrait images similar to that of the R-series as well as the Find series. Not only that, the device will also come with a Waterdrop Screen design which is significantly smaller than most of the smartphones with notches out today.
