So it turns out to be true, the teaser that Lenovo teased about a new modular smartphone has announced a few hours ago. Introducing the Motorola Moto Z and Moto Z Force, these two variants are the same but different in size. Moto Z is the world's first thinnest device with a 5.2mm body thick, while the latter packs a huge battery and ShatterShield screen that guarantee an unbreakable screen. A new teaser image of what is believed to be a Moto Z, was seen in Weibo posted by Lenovo (they are acquired by Motorola just in case you didn't know) and it seems that they are planning to launch a new Motorola flagship smartphone.

The upcoming Moto Z smartphone has apparently leaked, showing off a refined metallic look with a flat back. Taking over from the Moto X, the Moto Z will likely have tech specs that include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, 5.5-inch 2K AMOLED display, 13MP rear camera with OIS and 2600 mAh battery with a 5.2mm thin chassis. The leak comes courtesy of @evleaks so it seems likely that it is genuine but do take it with a pinch of salt. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet but the Moto Z is expected to be announced on 9 June at the Tech World conference.

We have discovered that the upcoming model from Motorola will be called the Moto Z, and there seems to be a peculiar connection system at the back of the phone – two rows of 8 connection points. Many has speculated on what this is, and a report online has shown what it is for – it will be for a new range of accessories called MotoMods.

According to a recent filing made to the regulatory bodies in the United States, the next Motorola model may just be called the Moto Z. This is after a report online saying that the Moto X brand will be terminated.
