While OPPO have already announced their flagship smartphone with the OPPO Find 7, they are currently refreshing their existing range of devices including the recent 4G LTE enabled OPPO R1s. Therefore, a new rumour that OPPO could be working on an OPPO N1 mini and OPPO N2 smartphone does sound rather believable. The rumour indicates that the new OPPO N1 mini will have tech specs which include an Octa-core MT6592 processor or other octa-core processor, 5-inch screen and a version for 3G and 4G connectivity. While the camera details have not been confirmed, we assume that the 13MP camera sensor will be retained along with the N1's rotateable camera hinge. The rumours don't say much else about the OPPO N2 however, just that OPPO are currently working on it. As usual with such rumours, do remember to take this with a pinch of salt and disbelief. No news on Malaysia release dates or pricing but we hope that it will be significantly lower than the currently priced OPPO N1.

OPPO Malaysia have officially launched the Find 7 and Find 7a smartphones in Malaysia. Notable tech specs and features on the OPPO Find 7 include a 5.5-inch screen with 2K or 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and a 50MP camera mode (which is basically many shots using the 13MP rear camera that are then combined for extra quality).  As was mentioned in our earlier report on the international launch of the two smartphones, the Find 7a is the lower-end version, but even then the tech specs on this smartphone are still top-notch, on par with many other flagship smartphones currently in the market. In their guess the price contest, OPPO Malaysia revealed the pricing for the OPPO Find 7 at RM1998 while the OPPO Find 7a will be offered at it's pre-order price of RM1598. Both smartphones will be available in Malaysia starting from 15 May 2014 for the Find 7a and June 2014 for the Find 7. For more details, check out the OPPO Find 7 and Find 7a tech specs below:

On top of releasing the OPPO Find 7 and Find 7a here in Malaysia, OPPO have also revealed two new models for the entry level and lower midrange user in the form of the OPPO Yoyo and OPPO Joy. While OPPO Malaysia did tease the two smartphones at the Find 7 and Find 7a launch yesterday, they quickly revealed the pricing for the Yoyo and Joy at their Facebook page today with availability also expected from today onwards. The latest flagship smartphone from OPPO is the OPPO Find 7 with notable tech specs including a 2K resolution 5.5-inch display, 3GB of RAM and a 2.5GB Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. The good news is that the OPPO Find 7 and slightly lower-end OPPO Find 7a are set for a Malaysia launch on 7 May 2014 (this Wednesday). The even better news is that OPPO Malaysia are holding a "Guess the Price" contest for the OPPO Find 7 with the main prize for the winner being an OPPO Find 7a smartphone. OPPO have already given a huge hint in the teaser image with the last two digits already revealed at RM??98.00. The contest will end on the launch date of 7 May 2014 so if you're interested, get in on it quick. Premium looks don't always mean premium performance, especially when the price of the mobile device isn't at a premium. Unfortunately, there aren't that many premium looking Android smartphones out there that both perform well and cost affordable but OPPO hope to change that perception with the OPPO R1, their second smartphone for the Malaysian midrange market. OPPO recently announced the OPPO Joy smartphone in Indonesia for entry-level users. Featuring a 4-inch display with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution the smartphone is priced around $138 (RM451) and comes in black and white. Tech specs for the OPPO Joy include the following:

One of the main limitations of the OPPO R1 was the fact that it had rather outdated hardware with the most notable missing tech spec being 4G LTE support. OPPO has seen fit to change this by announcing the OPPO R1S. This refreshed smartphone retains the same look and feel as the OPPO R1 but refreshes the tech specs and hardware with a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 13MP rear camera, replacing the Mediatek processor, 1GB of RAM and 8MP rear camera of the OPPO R1. Set for a China release date on 25 April 2014, we expect it to be priced higher than the RM1298 the OPPO R1 is priced at in Malaysia. It also marks the sign of things to come, perhaps with more 4G LTE enabled OPPO devices like the OPPO N1S perhaps. No news on Malaysia release dates or pricing just yet but stay tuned and we'll keep you posted.

The OPPO Find 7a is one of the latest smartphones to come from Oppo with top-end tech specs and features. OPPO Malaysia are now offering the OPPO Find 7a for RM1598 on pre-order. The pre-order period is from 16 April 2014 to 11 May 2014 with the Malaysia release date set at 15 May 2014. The first 500 pre-order will get an additional gift of a bluetooth speaker, screen protector and phone casing worth RM258.
