Apple iPhone 7 is just a mere five days away, and we just can't really wait to see if the rumours match up what tricks they have up their sleeves. That being said, aside from the confirmed date, Apple is also planning to unveil a new Beats by Dre audio product. And yes, the headphone and earphone are coming in pink.

The rumours for the upcoming Apple iPhone 7 are like ping-pong tournaments – it goes ‘ping’ for one rumour, and then ‘pong’ for another. Well this new rumour seen online makes a good case for the 3.5mm jack removal rumour – new Apple EarPods has been spotted sporting the Lightning connector.

Rumours of yet another Apple iPhone have appeared, this time it is about the Apple iPhone 7 Pro, according to the design drawings on a Japanese magazine called Mac Fan. While there are still no definite Malaysia release dates or pricing details for the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Maxis could be planning to open pre-orders for the smartphones as soon as 10 October 2014. This comes from a teaser image posted by Maxis themselves hinting at the #nextbigthing. Traditionally, the slogan "the next big thing" originally came from the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, however, the teaser image shows toast and a jar of Apple jam, so it could also be for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The reflection seems to indicate 10 while the toaster is all metal and rounded. As it is, China is expected to get the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on 17 October 2014. We're still expecting the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to hit Malaysia in late October or early November 2014 though.

The Apple iPhone 6 is set for a reveal in September 2014 but there are already clones released for the smartphone out in the market. Granted, this is just for the China market but the clones are using the dummy mockup shells of the Apple iPhone 6 which have appeared recently. The overall look is super thin but is running an operating system that looks very much like the current iOS (flat icons, etc.). No details about what sort of tech specs and features these clones are offering but we suspect that it could be a cheap MediaTek processor with 5MP rear camera. At least you'll have LED flash and a larger screen similar in size to a Samsung Galaxy S5, but don't expect any of the latest Apple iPhone features like a 2GHz A8 processor. Check out the pictures for yourself in this article.

It is still quite a while yet before the upcoming Apple iPhone 6 gets announced, but already mockups of the smartphone have appeared. This time around, the leaker is Sonny Dickson, who was one of the first rumour mongers last year to come out with the official Apple iPhone 5S and 5C smartphone mockups. The new Apple iPhone 6 mockups come in two flavours, one with a 4.7-inch screen while the other goes for a 5.5-inch display. The side by side comparison shows that they are both very thin but follow the Apple iPad mini design with rounder corners and slimmer bezels. Check it out for yourself but there are still no details on other tech specs, features or Malaysia release dates. Stay tuned and we'll keep you posted.

While the Apple iPhone 6 is expected sometime in September 2014, many are saying that it will take design cues from the current Apple iPhone 5C. With that in mind, designer Martin Hajek has come out with some interesting concept renders for the Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6c. While they look good, we think that the iPhone 6s concept render is too much of a drastic departure (especially the rounded corners) from the current design for it to be realistic. Check it out for yourself in this article.

Seemingly catching up with the rest of the refocusing cameraphone crowd, Apple have recently filed a patent for a camera technology which allows Lytro-like effects. Similar to the refocusing effect in Nokia's PureView cameras and some Sony Xperia cameraphones, the technology basically allows users to take a shot and then refocus it on any point or object in the picture. The technology in Apple's patent is different from Lytro in that it offers a high-resolution non-refocusable mode along with a low-resolution refocusable mode. While the patent is for a new camera sensor, it also covers an add-on version for any existing camera. This could mean we would see it come out for the Apple iPhone 6 or as an accessory for all camera equipped Apple devices.
