Looks like a post by Digital Chat Station on weibo hinted that HONOR’s upcoming flagship smartphone could come equipped with the unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset. Similar to the previous Snapdragon Plus variants, the chipset is expected to have higher performance compared to the base non-Plus variant.

Based on a statement by @rquandt on the user’s Twitter account, it seems that Qualcomm could be planning to release a Snapdragon 888 Lite chipset that comes without a 5G modem. While there is no official information in regards to which smartphone will come with the aforementioned chipset, it does give us a better idea of what to expect when it is officially available in the global market.

During Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020, Qualcomm has officially unveiled the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset, which comes equipped with 5G connectivity, as well as the 6th Gen Qualcomm AI processor to aid users in various tasks. To go into more detail, the aforementioned chip is able to achieve up to 26 TOPS (tera operations per second) which is one of the highest to date.
