The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) has assured that the US government’s potential restrictions on Artificial Intelligence (AI) chip exports won’t affect existing data centres in Malaysia. Its Deputy Minister, Liew Chin Tong, said that the Malaysian Government will adopt a wait-and-see approach to assess the potential impact on future arrangements.

As the biggest chip manufacturer in the world, TSMC gets business from big brands like Samsung, Apple, and more. Most of these companies won't encounter issues with TSMC, except some based in China.
