Although Nintendo Switch has been launched almost three years ago, the console is still a popular choice for gaming while everyone is staying home now. Not to mention with the launch of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Nintendo Switch has reached the peak of selling out the consoles across regions, making the company raise production by 20 percent to counter the shortage. While Nintendo is busy with the production of the Nintendo Switch, there is still rumour coming up for the next generation console saying it will use a processor by Samsung and AMD.

A deluge of new announcements just came from AMD recently, as the company gears up to shore up its presence in the laptop PC space. The company has just unveiled its new Ryzen Pro 4000 Series Mobile CPUs, confirmed the prices for the Ryzen 3 3100 and Ryzen 3 3300X desktop CPUs, as well as share some details on its AM4 socket roadmap with hints of the next generation of Zen 3 CPUs.

Whenever Samsung launches a new smartphone series, the Malaysian market will always get the Exynos variant. Some people may be cool with it, but some may not as they prefer the one that comes with a more powerful Snapdragon Qualcomm chipset. However, it looks like Samsung is going to change that as the Exynos 1000 is rumoured to be three times faster than Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865.

The year 2020 is one that's going to be a big one for console gaming, as the next generation of gaming consoles will launch later this year. To meet this launch window, AMD will be ramping up production for the custom AMD Zen 2 and Navi-based system on chips (SoC). This was announced by AMD during a recent Q1 2020 earnings call with AMD investors.

Cloud gaming may not have taken off yet but many companies believe it to be the next big thing. Already we see big companies like Google, Nvidia, and Microsoft who are working on building such platforms. AMD seems to be more interested in building the technology to support a cloud gaming platform and will be doing so with the help of Oxide Games.

Ever since AMD announced the Ryzen 4000 series processor back in early January, the enthusiastic gamers around the world have been thinking what kind of performance can they expect. Is this a big deal? Yes, it is and very much so for the gaming industry. To put it in a layman's context, imagine transferring a powerful processor from a desktop to an ultrathin laptop, yet able to retain its performance and battery efficiency. But is this possible?

The launch of the latest AMD Ryzen 4000 series of APUs is expected to be announced soon. But before that, many have obviously been given the new processors to test and the results are starting to appear. Recently, a 3DMark benchmark score for one of AMD's upcoming chips appeared on Twitter.
