When talking about gaming smartphones, how can we forget the ASUS ROG Phone? If you've been eyeing the ROG Phone 5, this might be a perfect time to get it as the August promotion is going on by offering you some perks with the purchase of the device.

So just another reminder - the ASUS ROG Phone 5 series pre-order will go live pretty soon on Shopee. It will start from 19 March onwards until 2 April and every purchase comes with a free Kunai 3 Gamepad. 

ASUS has recently unveiled the latest ASUS ROG Phone 5 series smartphones, which consists of the ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro, as well as the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate, starting from the price of RM2999, RM4499, and RM4999 respectively. If you’re interested in getting the smartphone, it will be available for pre-order (along with a free Kunai 3 GamePad worth RM499) starting from 11 March until 25 March 2021 at ASUS Malaysia’s official website.

It seems that an early review has recently been uploaded by DxOMark, showcasing some of the tech specs, design, and features that the ROG Phone 5 will come with. While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date, it does give us a better idea of what to expect when it is officially available in the local market.

It seems that ASUS has recently confirmed on their official weibo account, stating that the next ASUS ROG Phone will be called the ROG Phone 5 instead of ROG Phone 4. This is likely due to the fact that 4 is considered an unlucky number in most Asian culture.

The next-gen ASUS ROG Phone is on the way but we have no clue when exactly it will arrive. Today, the news has finally come by claiming that the gaming smartphone will be launched as soon as next month in India. If it's true, the teasers should be rolling out in the coming weeks.

Based on a statement by Twitter user @yabhishekhd, it seems that the ASUS ROG Phone 5 may have been spotted on Geekbench, hinting that it will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and up to 16GB RAM. While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date, it does give us a better idea on what to expect when it is available in the global market.
