ASUS Malaysia announces the arrival of super thin ASUS Chi hybrid tablet notebooks

ASUS Malaysia has just announced their new super thin ASUS Transformer Book Chi range of tablets for Malaysia. Coming with three models, namely the ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi, ASUS Transformer Book T100 Chi and ASUS Transformer Book T90 Chi the new tablet hybrid notebook computers are powered by Intel Core M and Bay Trail processors. Unfortunately, only the Transformer Book T300 and Transformer Book T100 will be made available for Malaysia. The fan-less design allows for a slimmer and thinner profile resulting in a more lightweight tablet and notebook computer hybrid while the all-aluminum one-piece design gives the devices a premium look and feel. For now, only the ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi is available at RM3199 but the T100 Chi is expected to arrive in April or May for a yet undisclosed amount. In related news, the ASUS ZenBook UX305 was also released at RM2999. Featuring an Intel Core M processor and the same fanless ultra-thin design both it and the Chi are now thinner (and more affordable) devices than the recent Apple MacBook. Taking a page from the Transformer AIO the new ASUS Transformer Book Trio does more or less the same thing in a more portable package. Taking the form of an ASUS notebook computer like the Transformer Book, the screen is detachable and functions as an Android tablet when detached. What sets it apart is the fact that the keyboard dock can be attached to another display unit, allowing it to function as a desktop, which means you get 2 systems for the price of one.

Tech specs for the tablet screen include:

    • 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 processor
    • 11.6-inch display(1080p)
    • 64GB storage
    • Android 4.2
