AirAsia today launched two new features that customers have been asking for ages, which are live calls for urgent matters and refund tracking. The enhancements are part of an exciting line of features, tools and applications that the company plans to release over time.

BigPay today announced that it is strengthening its partnership with airasia in 2023 to offer users year-long travel discounts starting with 5 per cent off airasia flights. The promo is available when users pay for airasia flights with their BigPay physical or virtual card.

With the ongoing trend of OpenAI chatbots recently, Capital A, the parent company of AirAsia, just announced that its AVA chatbot has been replaced with another new AI. Apparently dubbed as "Ask Bo", and yes, Bo's animated model was designed after AirAsia Aviation Group CEO Bo Lingam.

airasia Super App today announced an expansion to its booking capability as the platform now allows users to book tickets for buses, trains and ferries seamlessly via its latest offering, airasia transport. Already one of the top players in the OTA (online travel agent) space with flights from over 700 global carriers and over 700,000 hotels on its platform, the airasia Super App is now making available the option for users to book alternative modes of transport to their end destinations. 

AirAsia today announced the resumption and launch of flights to Japan, namely Tokyo, Sapporo (via AirAsia X) and Fukuoka (via Thai AirAsia X). Moreover, the airline company also announced the launch of a new direct route from Penang to Bali.

That's right, you can now get a proper job as an e-hailing driver and surprisingly, AirAsia is the first company to implement that. It will take effect from 1 October 2022, whereby airasia ride drivers can apply for the Full-time Drivers program.

The digital wallet app AirAsia Pocket, owned by AirAsia, now only allows top-ups using the BigPay cards. Besides that, it has also removed the feature of transferring money to other users and only focuses on top-up and payment features now. It's unsure why the change, but it definitely has set some limitations for the usage.

airasia food today announced the launch of its brand new intercity food delivery service that allows users to enjoy their all-time favourite delicacies from around the country, air-flown and delivered directly to their doorsteps. The first service of its kind in Malaysia, it is available for selected areas in Klang Valley starting 15 August and involves popular cuisines air-flown directly from Penang.

Remember the proposed air taxi service in Malaysia by airasia? Well, it looks like the company has made further strides towards making it a reality after its AirAsia Air Mobility (AAM) unit signed a letter of intent (LoI) to explore its infrastructure development with Skyports Infrastructure.
