  • Google has chosen “Cinnamon Bun” as the internal dessert-themed codename for Android 17, tied to API level 37.0. This follows internal naming traditions that began with earlier versions, such as Vanilla Ice Cream for Android 15 and Baklava for Android 16, although the company dropped public dessert names after Android 10.
