A closer look at the iOS 18.4 beta’s codes revealed that Apple is integrating another AI model into Apple Intelligence. This AI model is Google Gemini, which would be the second AI model consumers can use for more complicated assistance via Apple Intelligence.

In order to elevate the AI experience in China, Apple has decided to partner with Alibaba to use its AI technology to support Apple Intelligence in China. This was confirmed by Alibaba's chairman, Joe Tsai at the World Government Summit in Dubai.

Before the first wave of Apple Intelligence came, it was heavily speculated that Apple users could be charged in the next few years. Well, Apple CEO Tim Cook has debunked it in a recent interview with Wired.com.

With Apple Intelligence nearing its launch with iOS 18.1, Apple is offering up to USD1 million or ~RM4.39 million to anyone who can find a hole in the Private Cloud Compute that supports the Apple Intelligence features. For reference, Apple’s Private Cloud Compute runs on the tech giant’s silicon servers, which Apple dubs the “most advanced security architecture ever deployed for cloud AI compute at scale”.

Finally, after more than a month, Apple has released the first wave of Apple Intelligence features for select iPhone, iPad and Mac products. With the release of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, you can now update to the latest software in your Settings app.
