Last week saw the official refresh of the long awaited Apple MacBook Pro with a faddish "new" feature while Microsoft announced their Surface Studio, Surface Dial and Surface Book. However, the biggest news of the week was probably the announcement of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and their first unique looking smartphone, the fully ceramic Mi MIX alongside their Mi VR headset.

Following the introduction of the new Apple Macbook Pro last week, LG has just announced two new UHD displays - the UltraFine 5K Display and UltraFine 4K Display, designed just for Mac users.

Tomorrow on 27 October, Apple will be holding an event (Hello Again) revealing new Mac lineup. It's been awhile actually, since the last Mac upgrade (more than a year) particularly for the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, and even more so for the Mac mini and Mac Pro for years. The last time that Apple did one was the Retina MacBook that came out in early 2015. So what can we expect? Perhaps three new Mac products?

Apple will soon reveal the new iPhone 7 series at 1AM (GMT+) later after past midnight via livestream, but it doesn't mean that's the only device getting the spotlight, below are the list of other Apple products that might make an appearance too.

So here's something interesting, the US Patent and Trademark Office have published a new patent applications of the Cupertino-based company. And what could that be? A modification of the Apple iPad's smart keyboard.

The Apple MacBook Pro is turning 7 years old, with the current generation launched about a year ago. It is the right time for the model to be refreshed or made anew, and the rumours speculating about the next model are fantastic. We may see a thinner model in the works, along with a touch-sensitive OLED panel at the top of the keyboard, as part of the refresh.  

The Apple Malaysia store will be holding a special Red Friday one-day shopping event on 10 January 2014 (this Friday). So far Apple hasn't said what discounts are available or how much but they have said that purchases over RM250 will get free shipping. The one-day sale should start as the clock ticks over to 12.01am at midnight on Thursday. You can however expect 2 things, 1) things will go fast, so if you have the opportunity (and more importantly money) then get it quick, and 2) expect the Apple Malaysia store to get slow as users flood the site. We're guessing the Apple iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina Display, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, Apple TV, iPod nano, iPod Touch, Macbook Air, iMac and MacBook Pro will be the ones to get the discounts as the links for these products have been changed to red just like the text of the advertisement. Accessories that may get the same treatment include those for the iPhone 5S, iPad mini and iPad Air.
