News & Reviews:   Apple Vision Pro Malaysia pre-order

Apple Vision Pro was officially sold in five more new markets, namely the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, and Australia yesterday. Now Apple Vision Pro is offered in 10 markets in total. At the end of last month, it went on sale in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore after being exclusively available in the United States.

Apple Vision Pro is the most advanced mixed-reality headset ever sold to the public to date. The headset runs the visionOS operating system and Apple is marketing this product as a spatial computer rather than for AR/VR. Since its launch, there have been 600 applications developed specifically for Vision Pro which cost tens of thousands of ringgit.

At the moment, the Apple Vision Pro is only available in the US but it seems that Apple is planning to expand it to other countries soon. According to MacRumors, a code was discovered on the Vision Pro's virtual keyboard with new language and emoji support. 

It's not often you hear surgeons wearing an AR headset while performing surgery. In London, England, a surgical assistant, Suvi Verho was using an Apple Vision Pro and said it was a "groundbreaking change".

This news might be useful if you own the Apple Vision Pro. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, you might have to visit the official Apple retailer or Apple Store if you forgot your passcode. So, what should you know about it?

As announced way back in June 2023, Apple revealed the Apple Vision Pro and it now has a release date. It will be launching in the US on 2 February 2024 and pre-orders will begin on 19 January at 5 AM PST, at the price of $3499 with 256GB of storage. That's roughly around ~RM16,245 after a direct currency exchange.

Planning to get the Apple Vision Pro when it launches here someday? You better hope it's available through the premium Machines shop or Apple Online store. Because Apple seems to be going for a slow rollout.

When Apple finally unveiled the Vision Pro at WWDC 2023, they claimed that the headset would only be available next year, as developers still need to test it further. But sources now indicate that the delay could be due to supply issues affecting production.

When Apple introduced the Vision Pro headset earlier this month, the consensus was that it was too expensive. At USD 3499 (~RM16000), it's priced out of reach for most people. But sources suggest that a cheaper variant could be in development.

The Apple Vision Pro is indeed quite a hot topic ever since the WWDC 2023 happened. But in a recent tweet by a reliable analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, noted that the iPhone 15 series would be optimised to pair with the spatial headset.
