Apple event for 22 October confirmed, Apple iPads and more coming soon?

Apple has recently sent out invites for an event on 22 October 2013, confirming earlier reports of such an event. With an invite titled "We still have a lot to cover.", Apple are likely to reveal the Apple iPad 5iPad mini 2 and Apple TV along with new MacBook Pro models. So far, quite a lot of leaked images and rumours point towards a slimmer and thinner Apple iPad 5 that uses the same narrow bezel design as the Apple iPad mini, while the iPad mini 2 will likely offer a Retina screen. The tech specs and features for these tablets are also expected to change with Apple's 64-bit A7 chip and Touch ID fingerprint scanner expected to be put into the iPad 5 along with a 2K Retina display. Apart from the expected Retina display, the iPad mini 2 will also likely get a new processor in the form of the Apple A6 processor. While these seem like the most likely Apple products to be revealed, we could also see the Apple iWatch revealed so stay tuned and we'll keep you posted. No details on Malaysia release dates or pricing just yet though.

The next Apple devices to be announced now cover Apple's tablet lineup and rumours about the Apple iPad 5 have cropped up. Now, we've seen quite a few of these pictures and images, but nearly all of them have been blurry or look like the work of a 3D renderer with too much time on his or her hands. These new pics show the Apple iPad 5 being held and are also quite clear to boot. They also seem to confirm that the next Apple iPad 5 will feature an Apple iPad mini-like design, complete with narrower bezels and a slimmer slate like profile. Take a look for yourself below as the new Apple iPad 5 chassis is compared against the current Apple iPad 4

Other invitations were also sent out for Japan and Germany. All invitations feature the same colourful dot design but rumours are that the China version event may show off theApple iPad 5 as a new video showing off the iPad 5 parts compared to the Apple iPad 4 has surfaced. The video shows what we've been guessing for quite some time now, that the iPad 5 will feature a more iPad Mini look with narrower bezels and thinner design.

Rumours: Apple iPad 5 supposedly more compact and has less side bezel

This isn't the first time we've heard about the next Apple iPad or Apple iPad 5 having a more compact and narrow look nor is it the first time we've seen the Apple iPad Mini like front panel. However, these new pics show the front panel with much better lighting and not in the dark nor is it too blurry to actually see. These slightly clearer pics confirm what we saw earlier, a more Apple iPad mini like look for the Apple iPad 5, right down to the smaller side bezels and narrower look. Still no exact release dates in Malaysia or pricing so do check out the pics for yourself.

Rumour: How Apple may make the iPad 5 Thinner and Lighter

Recent rumours and leaks have shown that Apple's next iPad 5 may be going for a thinner and lighter look and feel. This may have been confirmed with last week's news about the narrower front panel bezel but it didn't really explain how Apple would make the iPad 5 thinner and lighter than the already quite thin and light Apple iPad 4. One rumour circling about today is that they will be using screens that use smaller LEDS.
