Apple recently announced the latest version of their Apple iPad tablet. Not very keen on numbering this 5th generation tablet either, Apple have called it the iPad Air mainly because it is much thinner an lighter than previous versions. While it doesn't have any Touch ID fingerprint scanner it does pack in the new 64-bit Apple A7 processor and chipset with M7 coprocessor making it as powerful as the Apple iPhone 5S. Other tech specs and features for the Apple iPad Air include the following:

Apple has recently sent out invites for an event on 22 October 2013, confirming earlier reports of such an event. With an invite titled "We still have a lot to cover.", Apple are likely to reveal the Apple iPad 5, iPad mini 2 and Apple TV along with new MacBook Pro models. So far, quite a lot of leaked images and rumours point towards a slimmer and thinner Apple iPad 5 that uses the same narrow bezel design as the Apple iPad mini, while the iPad mini 2 will likely offer a Retina screen. The tech specs and features for these tablets are also expected to change with Apple's 64-bit A7 chip and Touch ID fingerprint scanner expected to be put into the iPad 5 along with a 2K Retina display. Apart from the expected Retina display, the iPad mini 2 will also likely get a new processor in the form of the Apple A6 processor. While these seem like the most likely Apple products to be revealed, we could also see the Apple iWatch revealed so stay tuned and we'll keep you posted. No details on Malaysia release dates or pricing just yet though.

The next Apple devices to be announced now cover Apple's tablet lineup and rumours about the Apple iPad 5 have cropped up. Now, we've seen quite a few of these pictures and images, but nearly all of them have been blurry or look like the work of a 3D renderer with too much time on his or her hands. These new pics show the Apple iPad 5 being held and are also quite clear to boot. They also seem to confirm that the next Apple iPad 5 will feature an Apple iPad mini-like design, complete with narrower bezels and a slimmer slate like profile. Take a look for yourself below as the new Apple iPad 5 chassis is compared against the current Apple iPad 4.

Apple has released invitations for a possible reveal event on 10 September 2013 for the US, but has also released invitations for an event in China on 11 September 2013. Other invitations were also sent out for Japan and Germany. All invitations feature the same colourful dot design but rumours are that the China version event may show off theApple iPad 5 as a new video showing off the iPad 5 parts compared to the Apple iPad 4 has surfaced. The video shows what we've been guessing for quite some time now, that the iPad 5 will feature a more iPad Mini look with narrower bezels and thinner design.

This isn't the first time we've heard about the next Apple iPad or Apple iPad 5 having a more compact and narrow look nor is it the first time we've seen the Apple iPad Mini like front panel. However, these new pics show the front panel with much better lighting and not in the dark nor is it too blurry to actually see. These slightly clearer pics confirm what we saw earlier, a more Apple iPad mini like look for the Apple iPad 5, right down to the smaller side bezels and narrower look. Still no exact release dates in Malaysia or pricing so do check out the pics for yourself.

According to insider information, the next Apple iPhone, which should be the Apple iPhone 5S, is coming soon on 10 September 2013. This fits with previous release dates which also happened around this time period and while the rumour circulating is about the iPhone 5S release, it will also mark the final release of other related devices and products like perhaps iOS 7 (which is already in beta 5) and the supposedly low-cost Apple iPhone 5C. While these are the more definite announcements that are likely to happen on that date, bear in mind that the Apple iPad 5 could also make an appearance as backplate housing for the tablet has surfaced. The Apple iPad mini with Retina Display on the other hand is still slated for around 2014 though.

Pictures showing off the rear aluminum housing for the upcoming Apple iPad 5 or 5th generation Apple iPad have recently leaked. A closer look at the housing confirms that it will go for an Apple iPad mini like design, one with thinner narrower bezels and an overall narrower look than the previous generation tablet. The proof is in the numbers, or in this case the measurements where the back housing is 168mm wide compared to the previous generation which was 185mm wide. While this may result in less space, the screen and height are expected to remain the same with the side bezels shrinking to retain the original screen size. Other changes include dual stereo speakers on the bottom and an updated volume rocker button. No news when this new Apple iPad 5 would be available (in Malaysia or around the world) or for how much but it should be soon. In the meantime, check out the video showing off the Apple iPad 5 back panel and front panel being assembled.
