    The Apple iPad Air is the 5th generation tablet in Apple's leading 9.7-inch display tablet range. As the latest in the bunch it packs in the latest and probably most powerful mobile chipset and processor in the Apple stable along with a much improved, thinner and lighter profile.     Maxis has recently opened up teaser images of the Apple iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina Display. Unlike Celcom and DiGi, Maxis isn't opening any registration of interest forms just yet, but rest assured that they will be offering the tablets with Maxis 4G on their SurfMore data plans. This also means that if you're looking to get either an Apple iPad Air or iPad mini with Retina Display from Maxis you can expect to get the 4G LTE Cellular models that also come with the same prices. Unfortunately, Maxis did not reveal any pricing or Malaysia release dates but many are expecting this to come up in early December 2013 so people can get their Christmas shopping done.     Fresh after their gold-plated Apple iPhone 5S, Goldgenie are now shifting to larger devices with gold-plated versions of the Apple iPad Air and Apple iPad mini with Retina Display. As usual, Goldgenie are offering the tablets in a choice of 24k gold, rose gold and platinum. Prices start from $2124 (RM6755) and can reach as high as $10000+ (RM31790) as you can further customize the device with crystals, diamonds and other precious bling. You can also expect the tablets to also weigh a fair bit more than the normal tablets. As usual, there was no Malaysia release dates or pricing but they'd probably ship here if you throw enough money at them. As a show of how much more premium the gold-plated iPads will be, Goldgenie are also offering premium black wooden boxes rather than the standard brown.

    Apple recently announced the latest version of their Apple iPad tablet. Not very keen on numbering this 5th generation tablet either, Apple have called it the iPad Air mainly because it is much thinner an lighter than previous versions. While it has the same 9.7-inch Retina Display, the iPad Air has slimmer bezels and a thinner overall look, confirming earlier rumours and leaks that it would look more like the iPad Mini. While it doesn't have any Touch ID fingerprint scanner it does pack in the new 64-bit Apple A7 processor and chipset with M7 coprocessor making it as powerful as the Apple iPhone 5S. Other tech specs and features for the Apple iPad Air include the following:
