Use your Apple iPhone camera like never before with Pictar iPhone camera-grip

Pictar is an iPhone accessory that will enable you to use your iPhone camera in a way you never thought you could before. It comes with five external buttons for controlling the iPhone camera like how you would usually handle a DLSR. These buttons will help unleash your iPhone camera so you can capture much better pictures all the time.

Pictar multi-state shutter comes with maximum sensitivity, similar to the likes of traditional DLSR where merely pressing the shutter button halfway will force the camera to lock its focus and exposure to track a moving subject. To take a photo, simply pressing the shutter down in full will do the trick.

  • Rumours: Colourful 4-inch metal iPhone to be released in February 2016?

Rumours: Colourful 4-inch metal iPhone to be released in February 2016?

About a month ago, we covered that Apple could be working on a 4-inch Apple iPhone powered by an A9 chip and 3GB RAM early next year. The rumour is quite shady on this, but according to a Chinese website Techweb they claimed that the "iPhone 6c" could be made of metal, has a fingerprint sensor on it and does not feature 3D Touch.

This actually tallies well with the previous speculation, as the sources are from anonymous “Foxconn insiders” stating that Apple might reveal the device in January then going on retail sale the month after that. It could also cost between $400 - $500 (around RM1690 - RM2112) since theiPhone 5c 16GB model started at $549 (RM2319.66).

  • Rumours: Apple iPhone 6S coming on 9 September 2015?

Rumours: Apple iPhone 6S coming on 9 September 2015?

As if chasing down the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+, reports indicate that the next Apple iPhone, rumoured to be called the Apple iPhone 6S could be coming on 9 September 2015. So far, there are surprisingly not that many leaks as previously but according to rumours the new iPhone 6S could have features that include a Force Touch Display, a Series 7000 aluminum (said to be 60% tougher than previous) yet maintain more or less the same look and feel as the previous Apple iPhone 6. Other devices said to feature alongside the new iPhone include the Apple iPad Pro and a possible plastic backed Apple iPhone 6C following in the footsteps of the iPhone 5C. Hopefully, Apple have learnt where they went wrong and will offer improvements but with all rumours, do take this with a good pinch of salt. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details, but we expect everything to come to Malaysia in October or November 2015.

The Meizu M1 is official with 64-bit MT6732 and 699 Yuan (RM406) price tag

After numerous leaks and speculations, the Meizu M1 from the company’s Blue Charm range is finally official. At an official event yesterday, the company unveiled this ultra-affordable device which competes directly with the recently announced Xiaomi Redmi 2 budget smartphone. Like its larger brother, theMeizu M1 Note, this particular device takes its design inspiration from the Apple iPhone 5C. It also brings a lot of new color options like white, green, yellow, pink and two different shades of blue. Tech specs wise, the device comes with a 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6732 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB. The front features a beautiful 5-inch display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. At the back, there is a 13MP camera with single LED flash and at the front, there is a 5MP shooter. This is much better than the Redmi 2's 8MP + 2MP cameras. The battery is also bigger on the new Meizu phone. It comes with a 2600 mAh battery as compared to the 2200 mAh found on Xiaomi model. Finally, Meizu has priced the new Meizu M1 at just 699 Yuan (RM406) which is the exact same price as the Xiaomi Redmi 2 but there are still no Malaysia release dates or pricing details just yet. Hopefully, Meizu Malaysia brings this one in soon.

  • Rumours: Apple to unveil a 4-inch iPhone in Q2 2015?

Rumours: Apple to unveil a 4-inch iPhone in Q2 2015?

Although Apple's latest releases, the Apple iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have been popular right from the start, their older plastic sibling, the iPhone 5C hasn't seen the same popularity and may be discontinued. Be that as it may, a new report says that Apple is planning to release a smaller 4-inch display iPhone by Q2 2015. The compact form factor has always been Apple's motto, until it succumbed to consumer demand and released the new iPhone 6 models. Even the smallest device of the two, the iPhone 6, measures 4.7 inches in size, which is much bigger than any of the iPhones released to date. Given that the earlier iPhones too were quite popular among buyers, there must be a number of users who were disappointed to see a larger Apple device. According to the supply chain sources of the company, a smaller 4 inch iPhone is in the works aimed at the compact phone lovers and women who would want a phone which can be operated with just hand. Moreover, this phone can be the ideal candidate to replace the fading iPhone 5C. Unfortunately, there are no tech specs, Malaysia release dates or pricing details about this 4-inch iPhone, but make sure you check back to the website for additional information in the coming weeks.

  • All Apple iPhones drop tested

    All Apple iPhones drop tested

The folks at TechRax did a drop test for all of the Apple iPhone smartphones. This included a side drop and front facing drop for each iPhone onto a hard driveway, revealing that while most of the iPhones can take a beating from the side, nearly all of them smashed from the front. Granted, the front of the Apple iPhone 3G did not shatter but this was mainly due to luck as it dropped on the side first. While it doesn't seem to show any difference from beginning to end, it does show that if you're going to get any Apple iPhone, the first thing you should do is get a shock-proof casing around it quick because an accidental front drop will probably result in a shattered screen. Check it out for yourself in this article.
