2016 was an interesting year for smartphones, the year Huawei introduced their dual Leica camera lens P9 phone, along with Samsung’s critically acclaimed Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, also not forgetting Apple’s “courage” to remove the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus entirely. This year is another round of exciting devices, so here are the 7 smartphones that we are looking forward to in Malaysia this year (in no particular order).

This week quite a lot happened as Huawei came out with their Honor Magic concept phone for sale with all the sides and corners curved. Wiko announced their Ufeel Go phone with 4000 mAh battery for just RM599 and the ASUS ZenWatch 3 also got announced for RM1199. You can also pre-order Apple's AirPods for RM849.

While you may be heading to your nearest pasar malam or your nearest phone shop to buy that cheap charger for your brand spanking new iPhone (or even Android) – be warned. Those chargers are cheap because the manufacturers has most likely cut corners here and there to keep the price down, which results in an unsafe peripheral.
