Based on a statement by gizchina.com, it seems that Sharp might become Apple’s largest supplier of iPhone display starting this year onwards. While not much is known in regards to which device will come equipped with the displays from Sharp, our source did mention that Sharp reportedly spent $390 million to purchase the JDI Baishan Factory.

It seems that a monkey stole an iPhone from a Facebook user and proceeded to take selfies, as well as videos of itself while in a nearby forest. Fortunately, the user was able to find their smartphone in a local forest, but it was badly scratched up and cracked most likely due to the fact that it might have been dropped while it was being held on the tree.

Based on a statement by the EU Parliament, it seems that Apple might be required to ditch their proprietary Lightning connector in favour for a more commonly used connector which is the USB Type-C connector. The iPhone manufacturer will be required to adopt the new standard latest by July, this year.

The latest Apple iOS 12 is now available in Malaysia for download (a large 1.57GB) and will work with all devices that worked with the previous iOS 11. Rather than a visual change, the new iOS focuses on performance this time, offering faster app launches and multitasking even for older devices along with a few new features.

The more affordable Apple iPhone that Apple itself said they'd never make looks to becoming a reality as more leaked images of casing shells appear. Unlike previous images these don't look like rendered images drawn by an expert 3D artist with too much time on their hands. The green casing shell reveals a metal undercover that looks like it would fit well with the iPhone and the Apple logo on the back seems to complete this rumour.
