Following the rumours of China Mobile confirming Samsung Galaxy S7 yesterday, now it appears that Apple’s rumoured 4-inch iPhone will make an appearance in April 2016, or so they claimed.
This is not the first time that rumours have been going around about the 4-inch iPhone, previously we also covered two rumoured news of it releasing in February or March 2016, along with the next generation Apple Watch. Another name for the 4-inch iPhone was also called the “iPhone 6c”, which is rumoured to be modeled after the Apple iPhone 5s and be equipped with the same A9 processor from the Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

Apple is already looking far ahead beyond 2016, as according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, he has some statements on the future of the 3D Touch feature, the new Apple iPad Air 3,Apple iPhone 7, a new Apple Watch and a new 4-inch iPhone that could be the “iPhone 6c”.
Firstly, Mr. Kuo predicts that the iPad Air 3 will be released in the first half of 2016. It could be in March together with the new “iPhone 6c” and the second generation Apple Watch, this is kind of unusual for Apple to do so as they would usually release new Apple products around every September or October. Another odd thing is that he said the new iPad Air 3 will not adopt the 3D Touch because of production issues.

In the far east side of Asia, a Japanese blog called Mocotakara (which is known for gathering accurate information of past unreleased Apple products) have claimed that Apple is actually thinking of removing the 3.5mm headset jack and replacing it with a Lightning port for headsets for next year’s Apple iPhone 7.

Yes, you read that right. A shop in China has figured out how to upgrade your Apple iPhone or iPad’s storage up to 128GB of space without causing it to brick on you. How did they do it? Hey, it’s China. They can do anything.
Apple products aren’t easy to modify, as they install a software protection that verifies the hardware in the right configuration. That’s not even the main problem, because you need special tools to work on the hardware and chips and it’s difficult to do so. Not to mention, the iPhone 5s’s motherboard is really tiny to be ejected out safely for the memory chip inside. According to the shop owner, he has very little trouble with iPads and the iPhone 6 is easier to handle but the iPhone 6s is still untested.

Leaked images of the upcoming HTC One A9 (set for announcement tomorrow) indicate that like the Lenovo Sisley, the One A9 is going to look like the Apple iPhone 6. While the Sisley didn't have a protruding camera and actually changed up the antenna positioning, the One A9 looks to be nearly identical to the iPhone 6. Cher Wang, HTC CEO was even quoted as mentioning that the One A9 will be a good alternative to Apple's iPhones, as it "strikes a balance between beauty, performance and simplicity."
Tech specs and features include a midrange Snapdragon 617 processor, 2GB / 3GB RAM, 16GB /32GB storage, a 5-inch FHD display, 13MP rear camera and Android 6.0. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet but it is going for €599 (RM2883) in Europe. We do recommend taking a pinch of salt with this as it is still a rumour but we'll find out more tomorrow.

After the various midnight launches last night, the Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are now officially available in Malaysia. Yesterday we did manage to handle both the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus and both feel as slim and premium as the previous iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The major difference here is that only the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have gold and rose gold colour options, the other smartphones, including the iPhone 5s only come in silver and space grey. Pricing remains the same despite the ringgit stabilizing somewhat at RM4.18 against 1 USD. This probably means we'll have to see a drop back to the previous RM3.5 or RM3.3 levels for Apple to reduce the pricing further. Regardless, you can get the latest and most expensive Apple iPhone now from the Apple Store Malaysia or check out our phone comparison tool for a plan which might suit your needs or budget.
