Apple Intelligence was the highlight during the WWDC 24 event but as reported before, some of the features will only come a few weeks later after iOS 18. The iOS 18.1 beta has already been released and the delay is becoming even more evident.

Apple is now reported to be experiencing a delay in the offering of their artificial intelligence services which is the main focus on iOS 18. According to Bloomberg, Apple is expected to launch Apple Intelligence around October 2024, instead of together with iOS 18 which is expected to arrive in September.

The report indicates that at least one model of the iPhone 17 series will have a variable aperture function, allowing users to adjust the aperture like using a DSLR or mirrorless camera, thereby controlling image blur.

Samsung is reportedly preparing to challenge Sony's dominance as the exclusive supplier of image sensors for the iPhone. According to renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Samsung is set to break into the supply chain as early as 2026 with the 1/2.6-inch 48MP ultra-wide camera sensor that will be used for the iPhone 18 series.
