Sep 12, 2017The ASUS ZenFone 3 Max offered a big 4000 mAh battery in a sleek metal body that did just enough for most of Malaysia’s entry-level masses. The original ASUS ZenFone Zoom aimed to offer the most powerful Intel mobile processor, plenty of storage and a 3X optical zoom for what would be the best ASUS ZenFone cameraphone. Learning well from this lesson, ASUS have released the ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom ZE553KL as one of the first around RM2K Dual Pixel and dual rear camera equipped smartphones in the Malaysian market. Read on to see why we think the sleek metal bodied ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom ZE553KL with the 5000 mAh battery life could be the next true flagship killer.

The recent news of the Nokia 6 made quite a few "mehs" with most of those directed at the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor it uses. Other tech specs like the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage didn't get as much flak so we thought we'd check out the Snapdragon 430 processor using our similarly powered ASUS ZenFone 3 Max 5.5 or ZC553KL. Granted, there are differences between the two phones which you can see with our comparison tool, but the Nokia 6 does have the same display and more memory, so the differences in performance should be negligable if not better.

Finally, the most entry-level ASUS ZenFone 3 range, the ASUS ZenFone 3 Max ZC551KL is the only ZenFone 3 to use a quad-core MediaTek processor and a 5.2-inch 720p display. It still offers updated features like a fingerprint sensor with an aluminum unibody backside. It also uses a 13MP rear camera with just a single LED flash, and also uses a microUSB port. The ASUS tech guys assure us that battery life is just as good as the ASUS ZenFone 2 Max, despite the smaller 4000 mAh battery, but perhaps this is partly due to the MediaTek processor.
