It seems that DBKL has recently released a statement on their Facebook page stating that motorists will not be able to pay for parking via the parking payment machines, starting from 1 October 2020. Instead, DBKL will only accept payments via apps such as EZ Smart Park, Flexiparking, Wilayah Parking, as well as M-Cash in order to pay for their parking.

After going through an economic downpour due to the pandemic, our government is doing everything they can to bring the businesses back to life. Earlier, the e-PENJANA program that has raised a total of RM1.5 billion among private companies was introduced to distribute free RM50 (e-wallet credit) + RM50 (discount voucher and cashback) to every Malaysian e-wallet user. Now, the plan is finally going to kickstart starting from 31 July onwards.

It looks like things just got better as the finance minister has announced that they are increasing the total value of RM50 as previously announced to RM100!
