By now, most tech enthusiasts should know about the CMF Phone 1 by Nothing in Malaysia. For those who don't, it was released recently in July 2024 at the price of RM1,099 and it has an ongoing promotion right now.

When Nothing launched the CMF Phone 1 last month, it offered a refreshing take on smartphone design with its removable back plate. But there are many devices with quirks or issues at launch, and the CMF Phone 1 is one of them.

Nothing CMF Phone 1 which was officially launched on July 8 has achieved impressive sales figures. CMF by Nothing claims they have sold over 100,000 units across multiple channels in just three hours. This beat Nothing Phone's record (2a) which achieved the same feat in 24 hours.

The CMF Phone 1 rumours have been going on for a few weeks already but just a few hours ago, CMF by Nothing just officially unveiled it online. From the looks of it, the CMF Phone 1 is customisable on the back with handy tools such as a kickstand, a keychain accessory and others.

CMF Phone 1 will soon be launched on July 8. It is Nothing's first entry-level device and also the first device under the CMF by the Nothing sub-brand. Previously this device was said to borrow the specifications of the Nothing Phone (2a), but the recent leaks show more interesting specifications. So, what should you know about it?

The CMF Phone 1 by Nothing is expected to be launched with an optional Nothing Lock system, as revealed in a recent video showing the mechanism in action. The promotional video confirms that the screws on the back of the CMF Phone 1, can be removed. To make this easier, Nothing will provide a neat SIM pin that doubles as a screwdriver.

Nothing has released promotional images to show the launch of the first phone by its subsidiary, CMF. The device is named CMF Phone 1 as per the official statement from Nothing emphasising its design with unique features. That said, what should you know about it?

Under the CMF sub-brand, Nothing offers accessories such as smartwatches and TWS. A few days ago, Nothing announced the launch of a new device that many thought was the Nothing Phone (3). But now the design has been leaked and it is the first smartphone under the previously reported CMF sub-brand.

According to a report by 91mobiles, Nothing sub-brand CMF is about to launch a low-end mobile phone called "CMF Phone (1)". The phone uses a colourful polycarbonate body. The phone could be available in orange, white and black, and is priced at 12,000 Indian rupees (approximately RM682). That said, what should you know about it?
