Today, Celcom Axiata Berhad and Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate the collaboration between the telco and the agency in providing a special Xpax@KKLW package beginning September.

In conjunction with Rio Olympics 2016, Celcom Axiata Berhad is excited and proud to provide its full support in association with the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) who had recently departed to Rio, Brazil. Starting on 1 July 2016, Celcom Axiata Berhad is excited to introduce the new enhanced FIRST Gold 1+5 for families, with an array of attractive promotions and digital mobile content, which can be easily accessed anytime and anywhere via quick code *555#.

In conjunction with the coming Ramadhan, Celcom Axiata Berhad had provided and sponsored new safety helmets to the personnel of Jabatan Siasatan and Penguatkusaan Trafik Kuala Lumpur (JSPT KL), and later mesmerised them with a Buka Puasa event. Prior to the Buka Puasa session, Celcom distributed 300 brand new safety helmets, which were handed by Tan Sri Dato' Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, the Inspector General of Police to his men in uniform, who are attached to the motorcycle unit.

During the end of April, when Celcom Axiata Berhad announced to intensify their 4G LTE Network together with Ericsson Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Huawei Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd, it seems that modernisation plan is set in motion with an exercise involving a scheduled replacement of network equipment at all Klang Valley sites, between 10am to 5pm for a period of 4 months starting 17 June 2016.

To supplement calls made with the usual cell towers, telco companies have been testing WiFi-Calling to extend their services to places where normal signals may not reach. U Mobile looks to be the first to have the feature to their customers, as they will be launching their WiFi-Calling service sometime this week.

To show support to the currently ongoing mission to capture the Thomas and Uber cup by the Malaysian shuttlers, Celcom is offering its users double the internet quota for the weekend, which we presume for users to watch the match online.  

As of 9 May 2016, Celcom Axiata Berhad (Celcom) and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) have come to an agreement and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the MoU will see the two parties collaborate to benefit especially students through data connectivity services, as well as strategic collaboration for the development of UTP undergraduates via internship opportunities and entrepreneurial programmes.
