Google recently announced a new Search profile designed to help highlight content by creators. So, if you follow a certain creator or influencer, these profiles allow them to share their content personally, rather than have it surface for their fans according to the algorithm which isn’t always accurate or specific. You have to have a sizable following though, and it’s only available in the US for now. 

Google is reportedly testing ads on YouTube Shorts as a another way to help creators monetise their videos. For now, the ads on Shorts will include products like App Install and video action campaigns.

This morning, we noticed that some of our Malaysian media content creator friends receiving an email from YouTube. It appears that the company will begin deducting US taxes from June 2021 from payments to creators outside of the country. How much? According to the email, it may go up to 24% of the creator's total earnings worldwide.
