Today, Red Bull Coliseum (RBC) has just been announced for a second season comprising DotA 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, FIFA' 17, along with two additional titles such the popular Overwatch from Blizzard Entertainment, and FIFA Online 3. The prize pool the tournament has been increased to RM100,000 as well, opening up to five countries which are Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand.

With most of the Telco’s unlimited calls postpaid plans costing upwards of RM50, it seems that Digi had just swung into action by offering the cheapest unlimited call plan via its InternetPlus Prepaid addon.

Priced at RM38 and RM48 for 4GB and 5GB of internet respectively, these two add-ons for Digi Prepaid plans are valid for 30 days and offers unlimited calls to all networks!

Yesterday, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) did a collaboration with The Discovery Centre (Petrosains) and launched an exhibition called Digi’s Digital City. Held at the Petrosains, the exhibition’s purpose was to showcase the basis of interactive edutainment to educate and engage children on positive digital behaviors, as well as create awareness towards various internet risks including cyberbullying and cyber-grooming.

Digi had just updated its MyDigi app, giving subscribers improved account control, and better access to Digi’s services, as well as offering exciting rewards for digital-savvy customers. It is all part of Digi’s larger customer journey strategy, to progressively digitize their business from retail to network.

DiGi recently formed a partnership with Tink Labs Limited to bring to Malaysia, a mobile travel solution, called “handy”. So, what is, handy? It is a complete hospitality solution, that essentially, thru the use of a dedicated smartphone (which is provided as a free amenity in partnering hotels to guests), allows remote access to hotel services, localised city guides and travel facilities.

Today, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd gave their presentation on their on-going 4G LTE network project. So far, they have reported to have covered up to 85% of Malaysia’s population in 275 cities and towns at the end of 2016, and at the same time, they also expanded its faster LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) network coverage at 41% in 61 cities and towns.

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) recently measured the network performance and compliance to the Mandatory Standard for Quality of Service (QoS) of local broadband providers from January to November 2016. The report revealed that Maxis offers the fastest download speed throughout Malaysia while DiGi offers the least amount of lag.

Maxis recorded the fastest average download speeds in 5 out of 6 regions, though, in the central region(which covers Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan), it was Celcom that has the fastest download speed. DiGi offers the quickest response time(Low average network latency), which basically meant "less lag" which is important in online gaming, streaming and teleconferencing.

Just in time for Chinese New year, Digi is offering its unlimited daily package for only 88sen for all prepaid customers. Valid for 24 hours, this package is available for Unlimited Video, Unlimited Social and Unlimited Internet Calls.

Yesterday, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (“Digi”) is proud to announce the winner of the 7th edition of Digi Challenge for Change (DigiCFC7) programme - EDDY, who developed a mobile app gamifying learning of sign-language for those with speech and hearing impairment.

During 26-28 November 2016, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) and UNICEF Malaysia held the first ever Digi CyberSAFE Digital Citizen Camp at Digi headquarters, where the schoolchildren from age 14 to 16 spent 3 days and 2 nights, learning fun, educational and interactive way to build capacity around digital citizenship, towards fostering a group of young ambassadors.
