    Malaysia moves to tighten cybersecurity with new draft bill

    The Malaysian government has announced it is preparing new cybercrime legislation aimed at strengthening legal protections and improving enforcement against evolving online threats. Deputy Home Minister Shamsul Anuar Nasarah revealed the initiative today, highlighting crucial gaps in current laws and the challenges they pose to prosecuting cross-border cybercrimes.

  • The Home Ministry has revealed that 53 countries have been extended clearance to use the Autogate Facility at Malaysia’s entrance. Speaking at the Dewan Rakyat, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah revealed that currently, visitors from 60 countries can now use the facilities for Immigration clearance into our country.
