Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof announced plans to establish 10,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the country by the end of 2025. It is part of its National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) to support the growing adoption of EVs and reduce carbon emissions.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today revealed that the government is planning to provide each student in the country with a device to facilitate digital learning. He added that despite financial constraints, the government will try to implement the initiative in phases beginning as early as this year.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has announced that the government is aiming to ensure not less than 85% of rural areas get 5G coverage by the end of 2024. Accordingly, a target of at least 50% coverage for rural areas has been set for mid-2024.
