Digi Accelerate is a programme tool by Digi to offer Malaysians the opportunity to power-up their startup businesses through a four month bootcamp alongaside startups from Thailand and Myanmar, selected winners will get a one-on-one mentoring with qualified, successful startup entrepreneurs from the region, and an opportunity to pitch their vision to global and regional venture capitalists, and potential commercialisation opportunities with Digi and Telenor Group.

As of 10 March 2016, for the first time in Malaysia they have announced a mobile-based authentication solution, GSMA Mobile Connect is now available and ready to use for Mudah.my's PRO Niaga users who are Digi customers.

Regarding Digi's newest Postpaid Plan that was unveiled yesterday, we decided to help you subscribers on how the plans look like now at the courtesy of Digi. As mentioned yesterday, subscribing to any of the plans below is available until 30 June 2016 and anyone can register it at their local website or any Digi outlets.

Today on 1 March, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd have launched a newer Digi Postpaid version that allows subscribers to carry forward (Internet Quota Rollover) unused data quota in the following month as well as more internet quota. This new plan, simply called Digi Postpaid, is designed by Digi to add more value and satisfactory for the ever growing number of mobile users who are craving for more internet access and digital services to suit their lifestyle.

As of yesterday (25 February), Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (“Digi”) has announced their support for the GSMA Connected Women Commitment initiative at the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona. This makes Digi the first GSMA the only Malaysia telco to collaborate with GSMA and global mobile operators to educate and equip women in low- and middle-income countries with in basic computer and internet knowledge by 2020.

Two months ago, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (“Digi”) planted their first Digi tower in Setia Alam as promised from their #DigiWeWant4G Twitter campaign. They are still on the roll by announcing Lunas, Batu Gajah, Jejawi and Arau as their next location to install the 4G LTE network as voted by Malaysians.
Digi’s Head of Northern Region, Siew Chee Kong said, “Following up from our 4G LTE rollout in Setia Alam in the Klang Valley, we are now happy to announce that we’ve completed the rollout in the four towns up north where Malaysians have tweeted their desire for Digi’s 4G LTE coverage in their areas. As of this week, we have deployed and switched on our 4G LTE infrastructure to serve customers in Lunas, Batu Gajah, Jejawi and Arau. In total for the northern region, we now have 64% population coverage of our high speed 4G LTE network serving customers in 34 cities, districts and towns.”

Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and the National Council of Women’s Organisations (NCWO) have collaborated recently and launched DigiWED, which stands for Digi Wanita Era Digital. The purpose of the programme is to inspire, empower and provide Malaysian women with basic internet skills.
WED will be conducted in a series of educational meet-ups at 1Malaysia Internet Centres and NCWO affiliates’ offices around the country, along the basic internet skills includes safe usage of smart devices and the internet for communicating, sharing, browsing, and entertainment, as well as give them good reasons to use the internet. Digi hopes to expand the programme further to help women to take their business online in this rising digital economy era.

Just about a month ago, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd has launched a “You Tweet, We Build” campaign. An innovative #DigiWeWant4G Twitter interaction with the customers, Setia Alam became the first people's network tower as voted by Malaysians.
The #DigiWeWant4G Twitter campaign is an effort to reach out to Malaysians, giving the power to them by simply nominating their towns to be the next in line to get 4G LTE. All they had to do was tweet the hashtag #DigiWeWant4G followed by the location's name. So as a result, Digi went ahead to plant its 4G LTE network in Setia Alam.

Last night on 25 November 2015, 8 hardworking and lucky winners walked home with RM10000 each at the Digi WWWOW Awards 2015. A night of joyful laughter, over 30 finalists were chosen by Digi for their incredible creativity, ingenuity and entrepreneurship over their 100% user-generated websites that has impacted the nation in various ways.
This is Digi's fifth year hosting the award and is Malaysia's first and only award to celebrate Malaysians who have utilized the power of the Internet to make a positive impact to the society. Under the theme “Taking Ideas Further”, Digi organized an “elevator pitch” (literally, like entering an elevator ride for one minute and pitching their ideas live through a security camera with a cordless mic) for participants to submit their form and interview with the panel judges
