Earlier this month, the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) introduced a new account structure that includes Account 3 (Flexible Account) by allowing its members to access these funds at any time. That said, what should you know about it?

Starting today until 31 August 2024, the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) members can opt for the initial amount transfer to the newly introduced Akaun Fleksibel or Akaun 3. Now, further information has popped up regarding withdrawal from the flexible account, including how there’s an RM250 limit per day if members don’t perform electronic Know-Your-Customer (e-KYC).

The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) will be introducing a new flexible Account 3 which allows members to immediately withdraw from. Previously announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the tabling of Budget 2024, the Finance Ministry has revealed the timeframe for the 3rd account’s introduction.

Taking to its official Facebook page, the statutory body apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked members for their patience.

Moreover, the outage is also affecting its online services, including the EPF i-Akaun website and application.

The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) has reminded Malaysians to be wary of fraudulent ads using its name and iterated that it has NEVER offered any loan schemes to EPF members. This is following ads circulating on social media from irresponsible quarters offering personal loan schemes using EPF's name. 

The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) has recently added a new feature to its i-Akaun app which makes it easier for members to perform self contribution to their EPF accounts. As the name would suggest, self contribution or voluntary contribution is funds credited into EPF accounts by members’ themselves which is intended to grow their retirement fund even further.

We have been talking about the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) RM10,000 Special Withdrawal for a while now. Initially scheduled for 20 April 2022, it was announced by Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz that the EPF will begin disbursing the payments today (18 April).

The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) has recently taken to its official Facebook account to share more details regarding the 2022 Special Withdrawal. Specifically, the statutory body announced that members’ application status can already be checked since last Saturday (9 April 2022).
