Taking to its official Facebook page, the statutory body apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked members for their patience.

Moreover, the outage is also affecting its online services, including the EPF i-Akaun website and application.

This is following ads circulating on social media from irresponsible quarters offering personal loan schemes using EPF's name.

The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) has recently added a new feature to its i-Akaun app which makes it easier for members to perform self contribution to their EPF accounts. As the name would suggest, self contribution or voluntary contribution is funds credited into EPF accounts by members’ themselves which is intended to grow their retirement fund even further.

The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) has recently taken to its official Facebook account to share more details regarding the 2022 Special Withdrawal. Specifically, the statutory body announced that members’ application status can already be checked since last Saturday (9 April 2022).
For those that have made a withdrawal application under the scheme, do check on your application status via this link here. If you haven’t applied and is still deliberating whether to do so, do make up your mind soon as application ends on 30 April 2022.

The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) today iterated that it has never sent an email regarding the 2022 Special Withdrawal application status to its members. This is after EPF members reportedly received fraudulent emails from irresponsible quarters claiming to be the statutory body and that they can check their application status via a malicious link attached to the email.
Shared on its official Facebook page, EPF reminded its members to stay vigilant and to not click on any website links that are suspicious. Furthermore, the statutory body also urged members to thoroughly check emails that they received before responding, so as to ensure that it is from an official channel and not a scammer.

The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) today revealed further details regarding the 2022 Special Withdrawal which allows members to withdraw up to RM10000. Taking to its official Facebook page, the statutory body revealed that only one single payment will be made to members under the scheme, starting from 20 April 2022.
To be eligible for the Special Withdrawal, members must be under 55 years old, a Malaysian citizen and have at least RM150 remaining in their EPF accounts. The scheme is available for non-Malaysian citizens too, including Permanent Residents.
