In a move that nobody saw, OpenAI and AMD today unveiled a multibillion-dollar strategic partnership that will redefine the architecture of next-generation AI infrastructure. The deal commits OpenAI to deploy 6 gigawatts of AMD Instinct GPUs over multiple hardware generations, starting with 1 gigawatt of the new Instinct MI450 series in the second half of 2026.

After weeks of speculation, NVIDIA finally unveiled its latest RTX 50-series GPUs at CES 2025 today. There are four models to the RTX Blackwell GPU lineup - the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 are coming on 30 January 2025 for $1,999 (~RM8.9k) and $999 (~RM4.5k), respectively, while the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 will launch in February for $749 (~RM3.4k) and $549 (~RM2.5k), respectively.
