Grab recently announced the launch of JustSave, which is a carpooling service that allows passengers to save money by sharing rides with other passengers who are headed in the same direction. For now, there’s only a maximum of 2 bookings per ride. Currently available in selected areas in Klang Valley, Malaysia, JustSave will be rolled out to more areas in the coming months.

In conjunction with International Women's Day two days ago, Grab Malaysia announced a new AudioProtect feature for the Grab app. Designed to further enhance the safety of its driver-partners and passengers, it's being rolled out in phases starting today. 

For a few weeks, Quiet Ride has been part of your Grab app if you wish not to talk during the ride. Now, the feature is a permanent feature and you can enable it automatically.

Yesterday, we reported that Grab Malaysia is implementing a new fare structure during peak hours in Klang valley which would make it more expensive when the ride is stuck in traffic. Now, the Ministry of Transport (MOT) has responded to the price adjustments and announced that it would be looking into the matter.

Starting today (16 January 2023), Grab is implementing a change to its fare structure during peak hours in Klang Valley that would provide fairer compensation for Grab drivers. As for consumers, the change would mean higher fares when the ride is stuck in traffic.
