A number of GrabFood drivers have also complained their pay was cut by the company and this goes the same for Foodpanda delivery partners too. That said, the drivers are planning to go on a strike tomorrow (5 August 2022) for 24 hours.

Update: The Grab app services are back online
If you can't seem to get a Grab driver at this hour, you're not alone. Grab Malaysia just posted that the servers are experiencing a service disruption at this very moment. From our end, we haven't tried using any of the services but it seems that the promotions on the homepage are missing entirely.

It seems that the Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Malaysia (KBS Malaysia) will be giving out up to 5000 face masks as well as hand sanitizers to food deliverers such as GrabFood and FoodPanda riders from 27 March until 14 April 2020. However, do note that stocks are limited, so be sure to stop by any of the designated areas to collect the products between 9AM and 4PM.

New update - Respecting the latest update from our Prime Minister announced this afternoon, Grab will be suspending the “self pick-up” option which was launched today. Grab is supportive of the government’s initiatives in flattening the curve of Covid-19 and will continue to work closely with relevant authorities during these trying times.
It's now Day 6 and Grab Malaysia have announced more updates on their services during this Movement Restriction Order period. While we are still able to go out to grocery stores and hypermarkets to resupply our food stock, we can now do our own "Self-Pickup" on GrabFood as well as Pasar on GrabMart. Here's how it works.

While this may look surreal, the Movement Restriction will begin from 18 March until 31 March 2020 as an initiative to minimize the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. The government has ordered all private businesses to be closed down until further notice and many were wondering if Grab will cease operation. Thankfully, they are not.
