Samsung may be rethinking its smartphone strategy, with reports suggesting that the company could discontinue the "Plus" model in its flagship Galaxy S series lineup starting next year. The move would mirror Apple’s rumoured plans to phase out the iPhone Plus variant in 2025, signalling a shift in how both tech giants are adapting to consumer buying patterns.

Like all Android brands, Samsung offers multiple years of free updates to its custom One UI OS, which is now at version 6.1. Previously, it was only available on the latest Samsung Galaxy S24 series. However, Samsung recently released the One UI 6.1 update to previous-generation Galaxy devices as well. The latest version is now available for selected Galaxy S series, Galaxy Z Fold series, Galaxy Z Flip series, and Galaxy Tab S series devices.

Just a few hours ago, Dr TM Roh, the President & Head of MX Business Samsung Electronics released an editorial about the company's direction in 2022. There are a couple of things that are worth mentioning in the editorial, namely the next Unpacked and some hints of the Galaxy Note series fate.
