Boost today launched its integration with the world’s largest mobile gaming platform, Google Play which is powered by Boost’s cross-border payment platform. The new feature allows users to instantaneously purchase credits both on the Google Play Store and within the respective gaming and streaming apps through seamless and secure in-app transactions.

Earlier this year, we reported on how Google launched the Google Play Games for PC which as the name would suggest, allows users to play Android mobile games on Windows PC. Fast forward some 8 months later, the platform is still in beta but with some improvements, including being available in more regions as well as requiring a lot less demanding PC specs to run.

With the ongoing fiasco between Epic Games and Apple for Fornite, Google has decided to make its stance on the matter clear. The company has announced that developers that have apps on the Google Play Store must use Google Play's billing system. In other words, apps that bypass it will not be allowed.

Hey gamers! The Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales have just passed and I’m actually feeling my wallet to be a little lighter (or in case, empty, as I wait for my next paycheck to drop in). Oh well, I’m sure our tears would dry (temporarily) when our ordered packages come in or the intro scene of our just purchased games play on our screens. Unless you purchased Fallout 76. Then there’s no joy for you for sure. As for me, I’m just smiling (and tearing up a little) whenever I lay my eyes on the Nvidia RTX 2070 GPU I just purchased. #PCmasterrrace!

5 years ago, on 6th March 2012, Google opened its doors to their digital one stop shop for apps, games, movies, music and books across all devices running on the Android operating system, the Play Store. In five years, it had grown to more than 1 billion active users in 190 countries, whom had downloaded countless apps and movies, along with 40 millions songs and 5 millions books.

If you do not like the presence of ads in the Android apps you download from the Google Play store, the next time you want to download an app, look out in the descriptions. Google recently activated a feature that tells if the app you are downloading comes with ads or not.
