As reported last week, Warner Bros. Discovery will be releasing Max, a brand-new streaming service for Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Replacing HBO Go on 19 November 2024, the company has given us the official prices for each plan in the Malaysian market.

What is happening to HBO? Recently, we know HBO Go will be replaced by the Max service in Malaysia before the end of 2024. The announcement was made by the representatives of Warner Bros. Discovery after Max was launched in Japan. According to Amanz, the Max Malaysia website link became active and only displayed the text "Coming Soon". So, what should we know about it?

Astro Malaysia Holding Bhd today announced that it will further invest in global streaming services on its platform as well as provide more local content via Astro Originals. Moreover, the company is building its growing online presence and continuing to look for opportunities to strengthen its digital, broadband and commerce businesses.

In case you haven't watched The Batman by Matt Reeves, well, you will be able to watch it soon in the comfort of your home on HBO Go (and HBO Max). According to WarnerMedia, the movie will make its debut on the streaming platform on 18 April (Monday) 2022. 

In case you missed it, Disney+ is finally arriving in Malaysia and it will be launched as Disney+ Hotstar here. That being said, there are now a plethora of TV streaming services and sometimes it can be a dilemma to choose which channel you should subscribe to. Price is one thing, but the movie and actual TV show content also matters to many Malaysians nowadays especially during this pandemic period.

It only took forever but HBO Go is confirmed to be hitting Malaysian shores soon via the HBO Go app, Astro Go or the Astro set top box. Set for release in May 2019 exclusively for Astro, it will be complimentary for those who subscribe to the Astro Movies Pack.
