With the recent HTC One (M8) officially launched in Malaysia, DiGi is coming out with postpaid bundles for the smartphone starting from RM1299, which is pretty good considering the retail price of RM2399. To qualify, you will have to subscribe for a SmartPlan 78, 108 or 148 under a 24-month contract. Loyal DiGi customers who have been using DiGi for more than 12 months will be rewarded by not having to pay the advanced payment. Unfortunately, there won't be any gold coloured model for those gold lovers as the HTC One (M8) from DiGi is only available in Glacial silver and Gunmetal Grey. For more details, check out the table and links in this article.

Another flagship smartphone, another gold-plated or rare metal version from Goldgenie. This time around, the luxury company is offering the HTC One (M8) for a choice of either 24K gold, platinum or rose gold complete with the usual premium looking Cherry Oak box. The 24K plating HTC One (M8) comes in at $2560.95 (RM8363). Quite obviously, there isn't any Malaysia release date or local pricing for any of these versions, but if you have the money to get one of these precious metal plated HTC One (M8) smartphones then you certainly shouldn't have to worry about shipping one of these ultra luxury items. Tech specs and features for any of these versions should not differ from the original but you should expect them to be a lot heavier.

The latest version of the HTC One (M8) may well be the one device that saves HTC completely, however, it appears that it may be too little too late for users in Malaysia. With the Samsung Galaxy S5 set for a 27 March 2014 launch tomorrow, HTC Malaysia are still unsure as to when we'll see the new HTC One (M8) here. While the HTC One (M8) was available nearly instantly over in the US and UK, HTC Malaysia say that we should expect the HTC One (M8) by the end of April 2014. They also went on to say that the HTC One (M8) would be available for all major telcos. While it could be another late entry, we're thinking that HTC Malaysia could do much with a couple HTC One (M8) smartphones and some persuasive campers placed strategically nearby the Galaxy S5 launching areas (HTC did this for the original HTC One). Still no specific Malaysia release dates just yet but stay tuned and we'll keep you posted.
