HTC reveal official limited edition gold HTC One, costs RM14199 each

HTC has recently announced that it would make 5 limited edition gold plated HTC One smartphones. The phones would be gold plated with 18K gold and have "MOBO 18" laser engraving on the back for the 18th MOBO awards (for the UK's best urban music artists). The cost estimated for each gold HTC One is estimated at RM14199 each but it is very likely that they are not going to be available for sale. Instead, it could be the prizes or awards for the MOBO awards ceremony. Tech specs and features for the gold HTC One will likely remain the same though. If you must get the HTC One in gold it is already available from Goldgenie in 24K gold at a lower pricing.

HTC One Max phablet set for Malaysia release from 15 October 2013

Another day, another version of the HTC One, this time the larger phablet sized HTC One Max has been confirmed at China's Tenaa. Bearing practically all the design features of the HTC One, chamferred sides, aluminum unibody, beats audio and Ultrapixel camera, the one major change is what appears to be a fingerprint scanner on the backside, located right below the rear camera. Other tech specs and features confirmed from the listing and pictures include a reportedly 6-inch screen and some form of dock connectors on the side. Reports indicate that the HTC One Max could be released on 15 October 2013, with Malaysia release dates either on the same date or afterwards. No news on pricing for Malaysia just yet or if this version of the HTC One Max phablet is only headed for China. We should find out soon though as the reported release date is just about 2 weeks away.

Rumours: HTC One Max shows up with fingerprint scanner

The rumoured HTC One Max phablet or the bigger brother of the HTC One has recently been pictured side by side with it's siblings, the HTC One and HTC One Mini with a fingerprint scanner. Now, asides from being a security feature many people are saying such a feature could add more functions like a secure e-wallet transaction identification system or perhaps as an alternative scroll button. While this could be another clever render it could also be a different version altogether as there could be versions with or without the fingerprint scanner. Tech specs for the HTC One Max remain the same with a 5.9-inch Full HD 1080p display and Snapdragon 800 processor though but no exact news just yet on pricing or availability. However, some are expecting the HTC One Max to appear in September or October of 2013.
