HTC has arrived in 2017. They have just released the new HTC U Ultra and the HTC U Play to the world. The two phones feature a new design, look, and yes – no headphone jacks.

Take these photos with a grain of salt, but the following images are said to be the upcoming HTC U series smartphone – with the larger device sporting the moniker Ultra while the smaller one Play. These two devices are said to be the headliner of the HTC event launch this 12th of January.

HTC is set to have an event this coming 12 of January, and leaks of what they are going to showcase there is now up and running online. We have reports saying that the phones we will see are parked under the previously codename Ocean series, with the two models being the U Play and U Ultra.

Back in December, HTC released a subtle teaser just saying "For U" along with a reveal date on 12 January 2017. That's just days after CES 2017, and that was nothing else we know apart from the internet's speculation that the device will be called the HTC U Ultra.
