If you recall last year, there was a lot of hype surrounding HongMeng OS by Huawei during the unfortunate GMS ban by the US government. It was supposed to be released on the Mate 30 series but what we got was the Huawei Mobile Service instead. Anyway, someone from Weibo leaked out that the OS could finally see the day of the light soon.

Based on a statement by gizchina.com, it seems that Huawei could be unveiling a product called the Huawei Mate Watch this year. While not much is known in regards to the exact tech specs of the aforementioned smartwatch, it may come with similar tech specs to the Huawei Watch GT series and it might be unveiled alongside the new Mate series smartphones.
