In years past, laptop manufacturers have always stuck with Intel CPU. But this year, AMD bulldozed its way back into contention in the mobile CPU space, with many laptops now featuring the companies mobile Ryzen CPUs. The latest one that may get it is a new Huawei MateBook D series laptop, which is going to be equipped with a CPU from the Ryzen 4000 Mobile series.

So you're looking for a laptop, but you want a lightweight one, also for work, and perhaps a little gaming, with a good resolution for binge-watching Netflix, and a reasonable price. Boy, that's a lot to ask for but we might have something that fits your description and that's the Huawei Matebook D.

The sales launch roadshows for the Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, MateBook X Pro and MateBook D have gone off with a bang. With huge crowds gathering at Pavilion KL, the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro came to Malaysia at RM2799 and RM3599 respectively.

For those who missed the fact that the Huawei MateBook X Pro with Intel Core i7 processor is coming to Malaysia soon, here's a shout-out in that it will be available at the previously mentioned roadshows starting from the sales launch on 27 October 2018 from 9.00am but in limited quantities. While the MateBook X Pro and MateBook D were previously available for pre-order, the MateBook X Pro with Intel Core i7 processor was not included. In addition, the first early birds in the queue will get free Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) earbuds to go with the Dolby Atmos audio.

Huawei Malaysia has announced that pre-orders for the MateBook series consisting of the Huawei MateBook X Pro and MateBook D have sold out, with more MateBook X Pro laptops selling than the MateBook D. But fret not, for those who are still interested in getting some of the first Huawei Matebook laptops in Malaysia you can do so at the official sales launch roadshows happening at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Queensbay Mall Penang or at Aeon Mall Dato’ Onn in Johor Bahru from 27 October 2018.

Just in case you missed our news on the Huawei MateBook X Pro and MateBook D price announcement, the pre-order for the new notebooks have just started today starting from RM2999. For a limited time until 22 October 2018, customers who pre-order it will be getting awesome freebies that includes a Microsoft 365 Home, a Huawei Backpack, a Huawei Bluetooth Mouse and a Huawei Sleeve.

Today, Huawei Malaysia has announced that their Huawei MateBook X Pro and MateBook D Windows laptops will be coming to Malaysia from RM4999 (Intel Core i5-8250U processor) and RM2999 respectively. There is also another variant for the MateBook X Pro, which is the bigger sized one (Intel Core i7-8550U) that cost RM6999. All will be available in Malaysia from 27 October 2018. 

So not only the Huawei MateBook X Pro is coming to Malaysia, but there's also another model called the MateBook D and according to the company, these two notebooks are coming together with the new Mate 20 series soon. There's no price tag yet but let's take a look at the tech specs.
