Huawei has unveiled the Huawei Nova 5 series in China, starting from the price of RMB1999(~RM1208) for the Nova 5i, while the Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro will be priced from RMB2799(~RM1692) and RMB2999(~RM1812) respectively. The Huawei Nova 5 is the first smartphone by Huawei, to come equipped with the latest 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 810 chipset.

Head of Huawei’s smartphone division He Gang, has confirmed on Weibo that the Huawei Nova 5 will come equipped with a 7nm chip. This could mean that the Huawei Nova 5 could either come fitted with the familiar HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset or even a newer Kirin 810 which was originally planned to be released alongside the Nova 5.

Based on reports, there is a big possibility that there will be a third device in the Nova 5 series, namely the Huawei Nova 5 Pro which was spotted on JD.com. This is the first time in the company’s history, that the Nova series will come with a Pro variant. Based on the leaked images, we can expect the Huawei Nova 5 Pro to come with beefier specs, slim bezels, quadruple camera sensors in the rear, and even an in-display fingerprint sensor.

On XDA, the Huawei Nova 5 has been listed as one of Huawei’s upcoming devices to feature the Kirin 980 chipset. According to leaks, the device may also rock a triple rear camera setup as well as 40W SuperCharge support.
